Selected as one of three award winning designs in the 2016 Corning & OLEDWorks "Lighting Without a Bulb Competition", Hexy is a unique design for suspended and surface mounted OLED lighting fixtures.
Hexy is a system of suspension luminaires based on a hexagonal module that is repeated to fill 2 dimensional space. The Hexy module incorporates 4 OLED panels and a core structural element that acts as a organizing component which provides a space to mount the 4 electrical drivers and a way to either rigidly mount or suspend the fixture from the ceiling.
Hexy can be used singly, repeated in groups (including radial patterns, etc) to create an overall effect that is not only visually appealing but also very successful in delivering uniform, low brightness light to the environment.
Piccolo is an LED task light that delivers great quality lighting, designed with materials and details to fit beautifully into a home or office environment. Piccolo provides a warm, soft light that is uniform with plenty of intensity. The perfect light for your work space.
A surprising feature of Piccolo is that it can be powered from any laptop computer (or universal charger) with a USB jack. If you need a little more light and have an unused USB wall charger, you can put it to use powering Piccolo. The light output will be about 30% greater this way. When powering from your computer, use Piccolo’s clever cord organization to wrap up the excess cord and keep your space organized.
The body of Piccolo is less than ½” in diameter. It practically disappears it is so small. This sets Piccolo apart from all other LED task lighting products. It would have been much easier to compromise and make Piccolo larger, or less powerful. The necessary development time would have been far less. But the point of developing Piccolo is to push the limits of what LED lighting can be and help redefine expectations for modern lighting.

Operated predominantly by environmental service employees with HSD education, the system control is designed around a simple touch interface via tablet controller. Connected to a central cloud-based database, the information collected will help track and further reduce the chance of infection. In the end, Surfacide® will significantly reduce health providers costs and improve patient outcomes.
Rule is an under cabinet task light that offers excellent performance at an extremely affordable price. This is achieved using some of the latest LED technology combined with clever packaging to outperform products at much greater price.

An extremely successful linear-under-cabinet LED fixture for the office furniture market, Reed emphasizes user-centered features such as dimming control and the ability to cleverly configure the product as a 'good, better, best' offering. With a minimal cross section and simple detailing, Reed is designed to disappear under a shelf, leaving nothing but good quality lighting.
The beautifully-engineered adjustable task light from Details (a Steelcase Company) combines the best of LED lighting with a timeless design from Foster + Partners. Contributing multiple key technical features and creative design solutions, Mike Garner consistently demonstrates the ability to bridge the gap between design and engineering.
Inspired by a simple structural solution, this linear suspension fixture is perfect over a conference table or anywhere a simple linear fixture is desired.

An iconic fixture in the office furniture industry, Jumbo represents a highly successful collaboration between creative engineering and industrial design. Inspired by the beautiful lighting effect created as a by-product of its highly technical non-metallic reflector, Mike realized there was magic in the material that also makes Jumbo a highly efficient task light.
While Jumbo is a beautiful light, it is also extremely cost effective to produce, designed to out-compete much more mundane lighting options, proving good design does not have to be expensive.
A great example of how Mike enables a team to move forward rapidly, this project came together from initial concept sketches to show quality, working models in two months.
Working closely with Details' talented industrial designers, Mike engineered SOTO with a very low arm profile, excellent illumination quality and a novel power switching scheme. The SOTO platform has proven itself an excellent overall design that has allowed Details to extend this product offering into other typologies (long reach arm, magnetic mount under cabinet, healthcare, etc.).
This concept was born in the summer of 2007 from the desire to leverage LED lighting technology to help the developing world solve its problem of inefficient and dangerous sources of light (kerosene, etc.), or no light at all. By integrating a battery directly into the light bulb, it is possible to create a self-sustaining source of light, independent of the mains grid during times of blackout.
A modern version of the classic Bankers lamp, this asymmetric task light throws light across the desk, casting a warm glow over the work surface. By utilizing the smallest LED components available, and then designing a novel reflector system, MSG Lighting is able to keep the cross section of this fixture remarkably thin. This type of fixture would never have been possible with other, larger light sources. Some said it can't be done. But we didn't listen.

Launched in 2008, Sprout offered a fresh new way of looking at lighting the office environment.
A system for delivering low voltage, low wattage power to lighting and devices for use in the personal work space, Sprout leverages several key technological features of LED devices. Under an aggressive development timeline, Sprout went from initial concepts to tradeshow introduction of working models in less than three months.
2013 OLED LIGHTING International Design Competition
Genie OLED is a simple and elegant expression of the flexible OLED panel’s inherent nature. To turn Genie on you simple slide the switch down, flexing the panels and activating the power. Magically, a glow of light is emitted from the inner layer of this structure where there was none before. Genie uses two LG flexible OLED panels to create an intriguing and intimate object, not unlike a candle, which would be used as a focal point for conversation and relaxation.
It is envisioned that Genie could also be made available in a battery powered version, eliminating the need for a cord and allowing for more flexible placement on tables, etc.
